Hoa

Hoa is a funny lady, truly our weirdest little girl.

She was rescued from a drainage pipe with her sister in the neighborhood when they were only 5 weeks old in 2014.  While her sister died rather soon after their rescue, Hoa thrived.  However, she was never liked by the other cats and they were always quite abusive towards her.

This has led her to live mostly on her own or with only a few other outsiders who she can tolerate.  Her best bud is Chimmichanga, not necessarily because she likes him, but because she is the only cat who stands up to him and still will be OK living with him in peace though he is such a bugger.

She does not liked to be picked up or kissed, but does love to be loved in her own way, usually when you are in bed and she can stare at you and rub on you in the way she chooses.

Hoa is a weird one, but she is adored by all.

All cats adopted within Vietnam must go to indoor homes and only to Hanoi, Saigon, or Da Nang where they have access to international veterinarians. We do not allow adoptions to homes in which cats are able to roam freely outdoors. High walls that cats cannot escape from are a necessity or the owners must have an apartment. The problem of cat theft in Vietnam is very dangerous.

We prefer indoor adoptions as well overseas, though exceptions can be made for farms or quiet suburbs.

A home check is required for both dog and cat adoptions and an application should be filled out and approved by staff prior to bringing your new pet home. All animals at the shelter are already sterilized and vaccinated. Microchipping is available only for our international adoptions.
