Van graduated from the Faculty of Biology, the University of Natural Science, in Ho Chi Minh City in 2017. Before becoming Operation Manager at Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue (VAAR), Van was Wildlife Education and Communication Coordinator for the Endangered Primate Rescue Center (EPRC) in Cuc Phuong National Park, the oldest national park in Vietnam, and she was also Education Officer for GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center in central of Vietnam.
Born and raised in Vietnam, Van has always been close to the plight of different kinds of species especially pets and endangered wildlife, and she began her conservation efforts when she was a senior student by volunteering in both local and international organizations based in Vietnam. Van believes that education and community involvement are keys to the behaviour change that is required to effect real animal protection. Since joining Vietnam Animal Aid and Rescue (VAAR), she is looking forward to starting our Macaque rescue center project and she wishes to contribute to a successful VAAR mission in animal rights education.
In her free time, she enjoys gardening, going to the beach, and reading books.
